Cadence design Systems offers set of high-quality IP cores reducing risk of SoCs design failures. Modern SoCs consist of many standard blocks integrated and optimized for targeted application. Electronic System Level (ESL)
Cadence has solutions for virtual prototyping and high-level synthesis from C to RTL. Virtual System Platform is a tool for creation and modeling of virtual prototypes - models of devices, usually used for software debug while RTL models or FPGA prototypes isn't ready. C-to-Silicon Compiler gives users ability to generate high-quality RTL from C/C++/SystemC code describing functions and their interfaces.

Functional verification
Designing component of any complexity level can be done separately from it's functionality verification. Cadence Incisive gives wide range of tools for simulation, test generation, coverage analysis, generation of system models and virtual prototypes, based on SystemC TLM. Support for Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, SystemC. C, C++ and the ability to integrate with analog simulators allow to verify complex heterogeneous system in a single environment.
